The American Marketing Association (AMA) and Digital Marketing Institute (DMI) recently teamed up to offer several esteemed certifications in the digital marketing field. 

The Digital Marketing Pro certification includes 30 hours of learning modules and prepares you for a career in digital marketing. 

The Digital Marketing Expert certification is an advanced curriculum designed for those who’ve already attained the Marketing Pro certification or have relevant work experience. The advanced program boasts 120 hours of content, but either program rewards you with two certifications, one from each institution. 

Project Management Professional

Dr. Chris Mall, who holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science, Software Development, and several professional information technology certifications, has partnered with Udemy to create a robust Project Management Certification course. 

This program prepares students to take and pass project management certification exams. The course includes:

  • How project management methodology is implemented within an organization.
  • Project management terminology, processes, themes, and the relationships between them.
  • Application of project management to complete projects efficiently and on or before the deadline.
  • Two practice exams to test your new knowledge. 

Anyone interested in project management or preparing for project management certification exams benefits from this course. There are no prerequisites needed. 

Google Analytics Professional Certificate

This comprehensive program includes eight courses designed to teach students in-demand skills needed to launch or advance their careers. Earning this certificate increases a person’s qualifications for positions like associate data analyst, database administrator, and similar roles. 

The coursework includes 180 hours of rich content developed by Google employees with decades of hands-on experience. Students absorb information through a blend of videos, assessments, and hands-on labs, culminating in a case study showcasing what they’ve learned, which includes: 

  • A comprehensive understanding of the practices and processes junior or associate data analysts use daily
  • Key analytical skills, such as data cleaning, analysis, and visualization
  • Data analysis tools, such as spreadsheets, SQL, R programming, and Tableau
  • Cleaning and organizing data for analysis
  • Completing analysis and calculations using the appropriate tools
  • Properly presenting data findings through commonly used platforms

Students can complete this course on a flexible schedule, dedicating just 10 hours a week to complete it in 6 months. 

Certified Advertising Specialist

Merchandise like calendars, mugs, apparel, and magnets, is a powerful tool for advertising a business. Promotional Products Association International (PPAI) offers a range of certifications for those in the promotional products industry. PPAI’s certification programs help promotional product professionals stay current with the latest trends to help them remain competitive in the industry. 

The Certified Advertising Specialist (CAS) course includes about 25 courses with one quiz per course. Learners earn a total of 25 credits. 

To qualify for the course, participants must: 

  • Currently have a position with a promotional products company
  • Have a Trained Advertising Specialist (TAS) certificate

Once successfully completed, the CAS qualifies learners to earn their Master Advertising Specialist (MAS) certification.

Certified Management Executive

The National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials (NAHRO) developed their Certified Management Executive (CME) course for individuals with previous education and/or experience in the housing and community revitalization industry who want to become leaders in that industry. 

In earning this certification, applicants will learn about: 

  • Senior-level managerial and leadership concepts and best practices
  • Legal issues related to fair housing and procurement
  • Housing and Urban Development’s (HUD’s) Affordable and Assisted Housing Programs

Applicants must meet specific requirements to qualify for the certification, including adherence to NAHRO’s Professional Code of Conduct. Other requirements depend on the individual’s level of experience and education. 

Certified Sales Professional

Since 1991, The Manufacturers’ Representatives Educational Research Foundation (MRERF) has worked with the Institute for Professional Advancement (IPA) to create and implement professional development programs. Their Certified Professional Sales Consultant (CPSC) course is designed to help sales professionals increase their value to customers and continuously position themselves ahead of the curve.

Coursework for this certification includes:

Google Digital Garage: Fundamentals of Digital Marketing

Google created its Fundamentals of Digital Marketing course for those completely new to digital marketing. This free course is accredited by the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) and includes 26 modules covering everything from analytics and display advertising to email marketing and SEO.

Content Marketing Institute’s Master Class Certification

The Content Marketing Institute (CMI) offers a 10-module Master Class starting with the foundations and purpose of content marketing and builds on that foundation with coursework in strategy, story-building and narrative structure, data analytics, and an audience. 

Additionally, this course offers 23 elective modules branching out into specific marketing skills, from writing and advanced content strategy to content creation for specific uses like podcasting, blogging, and the most popular social media platforms.
